Female pedestrian dead after being hit twice in Hollywood (Los Angeles, CA)

A woman lost her life after being hit twice Sunday in Hollywood.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place just before 5 a.m. on North Wilton Place, north of Sierra Vista Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a Toyota Corolla was pulling away from the curb when it struck a pedestrian.

The motorist then drove away without rendering aid to the woman. The incident left the woman lying in the street for several minutes. After a few minutes, another car, a Nissan Rogue, struck her once more. That driver also left the scene.

On arrival, paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital where she was declared dead. The driver of the Toyota Corolla was found later and they cooperated with investigators, but officers are still looking for the driver of the Nissan Rogue. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
