A female pedestrian lost her life after getting struck by a vehicle Thursday in Yuba City.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place just before 6 a.m. on Garden Highway near Del Monte Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that the woman was walking westward along the highway when she was hit by a vehicle. The suspect vehicle did not pull over and continued southward on Garden Highway.
On arrival, first responders rushed the woman to Adventist Rideout Hospital, where she died of her injuries. The suspect vehicle was described by the authorities as a gray 2-door Honda coupe sedan, model 2009 to 2012 that will have significant damage to its right side. No other details are available.
