A 40-year-old man from Fairview Heights, Illinois, died following a single-vehicle crash on southbound US-67 north of Riverlands Way in St. Charles County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The crash happened at approximately 4:20 a.m. on October 1, 2026, the patrol said. The driver was behind the wheel of a 2013 Ford Explorer traveling southbound when the vehicle was involved in the crash, per the report.

The driver sustained fatal injuries and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Highway Patrol. Troop C responded to the scene.
