Emergency crews respond to a fiery collision in Smith County (Smith County, TX)

Emergency crews responded to a fiery collision early Sunday morning in Smith County.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place near 9151 CR 35 in north Tyler. The early reports showed that a vehicle slammed into a tree before it burst into flames. The road was shut down until around six in the morning while firefighters worked to extinguish recurring flames.

It is unknown how many people were inside the car at the time of the collision and if anyone had injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
