Driver missing after a car went down an embankment in Chatsworth (Los Angeles, CA)

A driver was missing after a car went down an embankment early Monday morning in Chatsworth.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place in the Chatsworth Reservoir. The car was found in the Chatsworth Reservoir by a nearby resident who heard the car’s alarm at about 1:40 a.m. Los Angeles police actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found a 2019 Ford Mustang down an embankment. The car was unoccupied.

Police scoured the area with choppers, but no driver or passengers were discovered. The car had not been reported stolen, police mentioned. It was registered out of the city of Carson. No further details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
