Driver leaves the scene after a vehicle slams into a pole in Nashville (Nashville, TN)

On early Saturday morning, a vehicle crashed into a pole in Nashville.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at the intersection of McGavock Pike and Thomas Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that the vehicle smashed into a utility pole, and the driver left the scene before officers arrived.

At this time, it is unknown if the driver of the involved vehicle suffered any injuries as a result of the collision. A portion of McGavock Pike was shut down as crews worked to replace downed power poles. No other details are made available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
