Driver leaves the scene after a car crashes into a guardrail in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

On Monday night, a car slammed into a guardrail in Tacoma.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place on eastbound state Route 512, on the exit-ramp to Portland Avenue. The early reports showed that a 2020 McLaren 600LT smashed into a guardrail for undetermined reasons. The driver of the expensive British sports car fled the scene after the collision.

Reports further added that the car got stuck under the guardrail, with its driver-side butterfly door open. At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident as the driver fled the scene before the officers arrived.

The vehicle’s price reportedly starts at $259,000. The manufacturer’s website stated that the McLaren 600 LT has 592 horse power and can reach a top speed of 204 mph. No other details are made available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
