A driver was injured Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on I-70 eastbound in Jackson County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred just east of mile marker 24.4 near Independence at approximately 9:12 a.m. on June 25, 2026, the Patrol's online crash report states.

A 2024 RAM 3500 was traveling eastbound when the driver was involved in the crash, according to the preliminary report. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol said.

Troop A responded to the scene and is handling the investigation, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

No other vehicles were reported involved, and no fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
