On Sunday, a driver sustained minor injuries after a semi-truck drifted off the 5 Freeway in Burbank.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place on the Empire Avenue off-ramp shortly before 6 AM. The early reports showed that a semi-truck came off the freeway at the Empire Avenue off-ramp to the street below.
The semi-truck had jackknifed, closing the off-ramp and the right-most lane of the southbound I-5 Freeway, prompting the officials to announce a Sigalert. On arrival, paramedics shifted the driver of the involved vehicle to the hospital with minimal injuries. No other injuries have been reported in the crash. No other details are made available.
An investigation is ongoing.
