Authorities identified David Edward Goodman as the victim who suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Saturday night in Marin County while officers arrested 27-year-old Robert Chevoi Dauvgnnte Lomack, Jr. on suspicion of DUI.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at about 7:30 p.m. on Tomales Petaluma Road, west of Twin Bridge Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound Honda SUV drifted across the double yellow lane and crashed into a BMW motorcycle going eastbound.
On arrival, emergency personnel airlifted the motorcyclist, David Edward Goodman, to Santa Rosa Memorial through helicopter with major injuries. Medics took the Honda driver, 27-year-old Robert Chevoi Dauvgnnte Lomack, Jr. to Petaluma Valley Hospital with minimal injuries.
The Honda driver was later detained and booked into Marin County Jail. He is currently facing charges on suspicion of driving under the influence causing great bodily injury. Authorities confirmed that the suspect was released from jail and was unreachable at this time. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
