A bicyclist was injured Saturday night after a vehicle overturned on top of them at the intersection of East Business Loop 70 and Bowling Street in Columbia, according to a Columbia Fire Department press release issued Monday evening.
The department said firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 7:36 p.m. Saturday. At the time crews were called, the cyclist was reported to be trapped underneath the overturned vehicle.
One vehicle was involved in the incident, and one injury was reported. Details on the extent of the injury or the circumstances leading up to the vehicle overturning have not been released.
