On Monday, a tanker truck flipped over in Vancouver.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Interstate 5 at about 5:45 p.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle wreck. The preliminary reports showed that a tanker rolled on its top, spilling a black liquid onto the highway. At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash.
On arrival, responders quickly identified the liquid as an asphalt emulsion and tried to stop it from entering any nearby drains. Multiple agencies responded to the scene for technical assistance. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
