The early reports showed that a truck hauling them crashed after it was struck by a semi-truck that was changing lanes on Interstate 30. The semi-truck driver left the scene after the accident. The driver of the cattle trailer did not receive any serious injuries. Crews responded to the scene at around 3:40 a.m.
The driver of the cattle trailer informed police that a semi-truck tried to switch lanes and collided with the side of his truck, causing his truck to flip on its side. The Tarrant County assisted Arlington police with offloading the cattle and transporting them off the highway.
Westbound I-30 was down to one lane while crews worked at the scene. Arlington police said it could take until at least noon to finish transporting the cattle. Officials urged drivers to seek alternate routes. No other details are available.
