A construction worker was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Spruce Road in Pulaski County, according to KMIZ. The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. Monday, about one mile west of Highway H, near Waynesville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, an 88-year-old Waynesville man was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on Spruce Road at the time of the crash. The vehicle struck the worker, who was killed at the scene.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, with temperatures near 82 degrees and winds around 18 mph, according to weather data.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. One vehicle was involved, and no other injuries have been reported.
