Child hurt after being struck by a vehicle in Central (Central, LA)

On Thursday afternoon, a child suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Central.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place a little before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Greystone and Denham Roads. The early reports showed that an elementary school-aged child came out of the school bus while it was stopped on Greystone Road with its arms and signs activated to stop traffic.

As the child’s mother was speaking to the bus driver, the juvenile jumped into oncoming traffic on Denham Road and got hit by a vehicle. On arrival, paramedics took the child to a hospital with minor, non-life threatening injuries. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
