A child received injuries after getting struck by a vehicle Tuesday on the east side of the valley.
As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place on Nellis near Desert Inn at around 8:43 p.m. The child was rushed Sunrise Hospital with critical injuries. An update later said that the child had non-fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident.
All southbound lanes on Nellis Boulevard were shut down on the north side of Desert Inn while crews worked at the scene. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find other routes. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
