A 71-year-old Carl Junction man died Monday afternoon after a crash involving a utility vehicle west of Purcell, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Locust Road, about 2.5 miles west of Purcell, in Jasper County. Troop D is investigating the incident, logged as case number 260326980.
According to the patrol's preliminary report, the man was driving a 2013 John Deere Gator eastbound on Locust Road when the crash occurred. No other vehicles were reported involved.
The driver was transported for medical treatment but did not survive his injuries, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
