A 34-year-old Cape Fair man died Friday evening after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Missouri Highway 76 east of Cape Fair, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. one mile east of Cape Fair in Stone County, the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. The driver was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 eastbound on MO-76 at the time of the crash.

The rider, a Cape Fair resident, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the Patrol reported. No other vehicles were involved, according to the crash report.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop D is investigating the crash under incident number 260365499.
