Bicyclist injured after being hit by a vehicle whose driver hid himself in Huntington Park home (Huntington Park, CA)

On Wednesday night, a bicyclist suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash while the hit-and-run suspect hid himself in a Huntington Park home after hitting the victim in the street.

The bicycle crash took place in the area of Pacific Boulevard and Randolph Street at about 8 p.m. Witnesses informed the authorities that the driver of the truck that struck the bicyclist broke into a stranger’s home in the area and hid himself inside.

On arrival, responders had the home surrounded. According to the eyewitnesses, the people inside the home managed to get out safely. The condition of the bicyclist is unknown at this time. The barricade situation was continuing for many hours into the evening and overnight Wednesday. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
