On early Wednesday evening, a semi-truck flipped over in Shreveport.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle wreck took place on Interstate 49. The early reports showed that the semi-truck carrying ferric chloride was traveling south to Houston when it struck a bump and the driver failed to maintain control. The 18-wheeler rolled over into the median.
Hazmat crews were informed and they checked the truck. Traffic was rerouted off Interstate 49 northbound onto Highway 1 as crews worked to clean up the scene. At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the crash. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
