Authorities identified 68-year-old Rodney Lee Arbogast who died after a crash on US 127 (Jackson, MI)

Officials identified 68-year-old Rodney Lee Arbogast, a resident of Jackson, as the man who was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle accident on US 127.

The fatal incident took place at about 5:00 a.m. on US 127 near Page Avenue. The investigation reports indicated that a car traveling south on US 127 crossed over the median and crashed head-on into Arbogast’s vehicle going north.

Alcohol is suspected to be involved in the collision, officials stated. Blackman-Leoni Township Public Safety and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department provided assistance at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
