Authorities identified 63-year-old Lee Roy Pryor who died after a pedestrian accident on U.S. Route 290 (Austin, TX)

The Austin Police Department identified 63-year-old Lee Roy Pryor as the man who lost his life following an auto-pedestrian accident on U.S. Route 290.

As per the initial information, officers were sent to the 6800 block of westbound U.S. Route 290 for a pedestrian crash. The preliminary investigation determined that a Honda Odyssey was heading westbound on the highway when Lee Roy Pryor tried to cross the highway.

The reports further revealed that Pryor was crossing mid-block when he was struck by the van. He was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The driver stayed at the scene after the collision.

An investigation continues.
