Authorities identified 49-year-old Brenda Kay Northcutt who was killed in a motorcycle accident (Waco, TX)

On Monday, Officers confirmed the name of 49-year-old Brenda Kay Northcutt, a resident of Central Texas, as the woman who lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday in Waco, a day before her birthday.

According to the reports, Brenda Kay Northcutt was riding a motorcycle at about 4 p.m. in the 2300 block of Orchard Lane. Suddenly, Northcutt lost control of her bike, swerved off the road, went into a ditch and hit a tree.

Northcutt succumbed to her injuries at the accident scene. An autopsy was ordered, police said. Orchard Lane was shut down for traffic in the affected area on Sunday for almost three hours.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
