Authorities have released the name of 41-year-old Jason N Cole, a resident of Lake Charles, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Calcasieu Parish.
Louisiana State Police Troop D got the reports of the crash on August 8, a little before 11:15 p.m. on Interstate 210 near mile marker 12 in Calcasieu Parish. The accident killed 41-year-old Jason N Cole of Lake Charles.
As per the preliminary reports, the rider of a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle, was heading east on I-210. The Suzuki went off the roadway to the left and crashed into a guardrail. The impact of the crash ejected the man from the motorcycle.
The bike rider was wearing a DOT approved helmet at the time of the crash. Emergency crews mentioned that Jason N Cole succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Impairment is suspected to be involved in the accident, officials said. A toxicology sample was taken from the motorcyclist and submitted for analysis.
An investigation is ongoing.
