Authorities identified 40-year-old Sae Kim who died after a crash on I-80 East of Sparks (Sparks, NV)

Officials released the name of 40-year-old Sae Kim, a California resident, who was killed after an auto-pedestrian crash on I-80 east, near mile marker 78 on September 4th.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place on I-80 east, close to mile marker 78 on Saturday, at around 8:30 p.m. The early reports suggested that a black 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling east when it veered off the roadway and rolled over for reasons that are yet to be known.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Sae Kim exited his car and walked into the eastbound lane. Just then, a white 2021 Freightliner semi-truck fatally hit Kim. Kim reportedly suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
