Authorities identified 25-year-old Nathan Ruiz as the man who lost his life after getting hit by a car Wednesday morning in Dallas.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Ferguson Road and Highwood Drive. The investigation reports showed that a Ford Mustang driven by a 30-year-old man struck Ruiz.

Nathan Ruiz died of his injuries at the scene. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. The driver was not impaired at the time of the accident. No other information is available.

An investigation is ongoing.
