Authorities identified 25-year-old Frederick Williams who died after a motorcycle crash in San Diego (San Diego, CA)

Authorities identified 25-year-old Frederick Williams as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in San Diego.

The fatal motorcycle crash took place at around 10:30 p.m. on 28th Street near Imperial Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle ridden by Williams was going at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light and slammed into a pickup truck on 28th Street.

Due to the impact, the rider was thrown from his bike. On arrival, medics rushed him to a hospital where he was later declared dead. The driver of the pickup incurred minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
