Officials identified 21-year-old George Foster as the man who was killed after a traffic collision Tuesday morning in Beaumont.
The fatal car crash took place at about 9:25 a.m. in the 300 block of E. Cardinal Drive. The preliminary reports revealed that a Toyota Corolla was traveling South on E. Cardinal when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed.
Foster, who was the sole occupant of the car, suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the authorities. Impairment did not play a role in the crash. However, it is unclear if speed contributed to the wreck. No further details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
