Officials identified 19-year-old Kyle Ron as the victim who died after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Indio.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place at the intersection of North Fargo Canyon Road and Dillon Road at about 9:30 a.m. The preliminary reports showed that a speeding car struck a motorcycle ridden by Ron. Due to the impact, Ron was thrown from his bike.
The motorcycle rider died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle incurred only minor injuries, and remained at the scene. Drugs and alcohol are suspected in this crash. No other details are made available.
An investigation is ongoing.
