At least 1 person killed after a 3-vehicle wreck on I-20 near Stanton (Martin County, TX)

At least one person died following a wreck on I-20 near Stanton. Traffic was backed up in all directions following the incident.

As per the initial information, the three-vehicle pile-up took place on I-20. The early reports showed that two 18 wheelers and a minivan were involved in the accident. The reports also revealed that two 18-wheelers crashed and both burst in flames just west of Stanton on 1-20 and FM 829.

It is unclear if the crash caused any other injuries. TX-DOT are opening westbound exit 154 to assist with the traffic flow. TX-DOT is working on blocking the eastbound lanes. Drivers are urged to avoid this area. No other details are available.

The wreck remains under active review.
