An adult male pedestrian died at the scene after being struck by a vehicle on Albuquerque's westside Monday morning, according to KRQE.

Albuquerque Police said officers responded to reports of the crash around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Central Avenue and 106th St. NW. The crash involved a single vehicle, and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KRQE.

Eastbound Central Avenue was closed following the crash as authorities worked the scene, KRQE reported. It was not immediately clear how long the closure would remain in place.
