According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Truckee on Monday.
The crash happened at the intersection of SR-28 at Sahara.
The officials stated that a 2021 Subaru Forester and a dump truck were involved in the collision.
According to the Police, Phillips drove his car into an active construction zone under one- way traffic. He crashed into the traffic control worker in the roadway.
Phillips collided with a dump truck and an excavator. The worker suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into the Nevada County Sheriff’s Station in Truckee.
