On Sunday night, a man was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Sparks Boulevard and Sawgrass Lane.
The fatal pedestrian accident took place just before 9:30 p.m. on Sparks Boulevard and Sawgrass lane. On arrival, police discovered the man lying on the road. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the authorities.
Some eyewitnesses said that a driver heading north on Sparks Boulevard struck the man in the road. The driver stopped, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The officers do not believe that impairment contributed to the crash. The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed at this time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
