An auto-pedestrian crash killed 1 person in north Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

On Wednesday night, a male pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a car in north Phoenix.

As per the initial information, officers quickly responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Bell Road at about 6:45 p.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian crash. The preliminary investigation revealed that a man in his 70s was hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. The area was shut down as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
