An auto-pedestrian collision claimed the life of a woman in Tempe (Tempe, AZ)

On Saturday night, a woman lost her life after getting hit by a vehicle in Tempe.

The preliminary reports showed that the woman was struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the street near Broadway Road and Roosevelt Street at about 9:45 p.m. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the victim to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver, who struck the female pedestrian, remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. Impairment is not considered to be a factor as of this moment. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified.

The incident remains under investigation.
