An armored truck struck and injured a pedestrian in Renton (Renton, WA)

On Monday, a 61-year-old man suffered injuries after getting hit by an armored truck in Renton.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place in the parking lot of the McDonald’s in the 400 block of Grady Way. The early reports showed that the man was walking near the drive thru of the Renton Village location, but not on a marked crosswalk when he got struck.

He sustained critical head injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the truck did not display any signs of impairment and cooperated with the authorities. No other information has been released by the officials.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
