On Thursday, injuries were reported following a wrong-way collision on 15 Freeway.
The two-vehicle crash took place at around 11:21 p.m. on the freeway’s northbound lanes, south of Cleghorn Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that a black SUV was traveling southbound on the freeway’s northbound lanes when it crashed into another vehicle south of Cleghorn Road.
Due to the impact, one of the involved vehicles overturned and rested about 200 feet west of the freeway. The other vehicle also had major damage and stayed on the freeway facing the wrong way. According to eyewitnesses, the occupants of the overturned vehicle were conscious. One of them suffered a possible broken arm and they tried to come out of the vehicle.
Responders confirmed that the occupants of both vehicles sustained only minimal injuries. Emergency crews transported two people to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. A tow truck was requested to drag both vehicles from the roadway. No other details are made available.
An investigation is ongoing.
