A woman lost her life in a rollover accident blocks from her home (Tacoma, WA)

One person is reported dead after a fatal crash, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said on Saturday.

At 07:33 am, on Saturday January 9th, 2021, the Graham Fire Department was called in a single car rollover crash that took place in front of their station at the 12800 block of 224th St E. Fire fighters and deputies found the lone occupant unrestrained in the back of the vehicle and was declared deceased.

The vehicle had been going west on 224th Street E and got off the roadway hitting a small trench which caused it to turn over.

Our traffic deputies responded to probe and document the scene. After the preliminary inquiry, the cause of this fatal crash was overspeeding for the icy conditions on the roadway; where the speed limit was 45 mph. It is claimed that the driver lost balance of her vehicle after going into the ditch, causing it to flip over, the department said.
