On Sunday, a woman lost her life and another suffered major injuries after an SUV crashed into a wall close to a residence in north Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place close to a residence at 31st Avenue and Dunlap at about 9 a.m. The preliminary investigation showed that the teenage driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle, swerved off the street and smashed into a short block wall next to a nearby home.
Reports further added that there were three occupants in the vehicle, including a teenage boy and two female passengers. One adult woman succumbed to her injuries, whereas the other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. At this time, it is unknown if the boy received any injuries. Impairment is believed to be involved in the accident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
