A vehicle struck and killed a bicyclist in southeast Houston (Houston, TX)

On Monday night, a bicyclist was killed after getting struck by a vehicle in southeast Houston.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 5500 block of Sunbeam near MLK at about 7:24 p.m. after getting reports of a major crash. Houston police later stated that a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle was found deceased on the scene.

On the other hand, the driver remained at the scene after the accident. It is unknown if the driver will face any charges. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
