On early Wednesday morning, 58-year-old Francisco Mendez, a resident of Nacogdoches, lost his life after being fatally hit by a car in Nacogdoches.
As per reports, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place moments after 3:00 a.m. in the 800 block of South Street. The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Francisco Mendez of Nacogdoches.
On arrival, officials declared the victim deceased. As of now, it is unknown whether the victim was in or outside the crosswalk at the time of the accident. No further details are immediately available.
The authorities will continue to investigate the cause that led to the crash.
