A vehicle struck and injured a pedestrian on Washington Road (Augusta, GA)

On Wednesday night, one person suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle on Washington Road.

As per the initial information, the pedestrian crash took place on Washington Road across from Tbonz Steakhouse of Augusta at about 9 p.m. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit a pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known.

The extent of the injuries suffered by the victim remains unknown at this time. The identity of the injured victim has not been released. It is unclear if the vehicle that hit the victim stayed at the scene after the collision. No other details have been provided by the officials.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
