On Sunday afternoon, a gas line burst after a vehicle struck it in Reno.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place on Kindred Avenue and Virbel Lane. The preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle collided with another vehicle, causing the second vehicle to strike a gas line. RFD and NV Energy quickly responded to the crash site.
At 3:20 p.m., officials said that the leak was controlled and gas had been cut off at one house. Reports further stated that there is no risk to the public or the neighborhood. NV Energy representatives have not provided an estimated end time for the repair. It is unclear if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
