A vehicle hit and killed a woman on Interstate 90 (Grant County, WA)

On Thursday, a woman was killed after getting struck by a vehicle on Interstate 90.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision was reported past midnight on the eastbound freeway in Grant County. The early reports showed that a blue Subaru Ascent was approaching MP-155 in the same lane when the vehicle hit the woman. The victim suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.

On arrival, responders found both the pedestrian and a 43-year-old driver, from Granite Falls, on the shoulder of the road. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
