On Thursday, one person was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 15.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash was reported at 3:09 p.m. on the southbound freeway, north of Duncan Canyon Road. The early reports showed that a person was standing outside of a white Mercedes Benz when a black Chrysler 300 spun out and struck them.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. At this time, it is unknown if rainy weather contributed to the collision. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
