A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

On Thursday morning, one person died after getting struck by a vehicle in Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place near Charleston Blvd. and 10th Street. The early reports showed that the pedestrian was illegally crossing the street and was hit by a vehicle. Charleston Blvd was shut down in both directions between Maryland Pkwy and Las Vegas Blvd as crews worked at the scene.

Motorists were asked to take alternate routes to downtown Las Vegas. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
