On Thursday night, a woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in west Houston.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place at about 7:40 p.m. on Bellaire Boulevard, close to Cook Road. The preliminary investigation showed that the woman was crossing the street illegally when a car fatally hit her.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers. According to the authorities, there were no indications of intoxication and that the driver is not facing charges in connection with the accident. No other details have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
