A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Saturday in Eureka.
As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place at around 8:30 p.m. on West Hawthorne Street and Broadway Street. The early reports showed that a light-colored vehicle hit the woman for unknown reasons.
The woman remained conscious as she was bleeding on the road. Paramedics transported her to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene. One lane was closed down during the investigation. The roadway was cleared at about 9 p.m. No further details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
