On Thursday, a 34-year-old woman received injuries after getting struck by a vehicle on Rancho Bernardo Road.
As per the initial information, the pedestrian crash took place at around 5:40 p.m. near Espola Road at Summerfield Lane. The early reports indicated that a 57-year-old man driving a Ford Econoline van hit the woman for reasons that are yet to be known.
On arrival, emergency crews transported the female pedestrian to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with non-critical injuries. The van driver did not receive any injuries as a result of the collision. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
