On Thursday morning, one person was left in s hospital after a two-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita.
At about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, first responders got information of a traffic collision on the northbound 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road in Castaic, stated Chris Thomas, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to Thomas, two vehicles were involved in the crash, including a semi-truck, and one person was thrown from the vehicle following the collision. As per reports, one of the vehicles went down an embankment, but it is unclear how far down the vehicle went. On arrival, medics took one person to the hospital in unknown condition, Thomas mentioned.
The crash remains under investigation.
